Help

As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Facilitates, guides, advises and coaches leaders, staff and customers on change management, employee management and performance excellence.
  • Works directly with senior leadership to enable the realization of business strategy by helping Joint Staff leaders to identify.
  • Builds consensus and deconflicts efforts by coordinating proposed manpower actions with the military Services.
  • Collaborate with senior manpower leaders across.
  • Leverages the Fourth Estate Manpower Tracking Systems (FMTS) to enforce procedural compliance and ensure timely processing of Joint Manpower Change Requests.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Applying manpower management principles, objectives, legal requirements, and responsibilities as they relate to controls, organization, functions, grades, standards, and allocation of service manpower to analyze complex projects and manpower data.
  • States and recommends solutions to senior military officials on anticipated and existing problems in organizational structures and manpower requirements utilizing organizational development knowledge.
  • Applying management engineering principles to assess manpower operations and address organizational effectiveness.
  • Utilizing manpower data systems to implement, monitor, administer, control data systems in incorporating the latest computer techniques to improve the automation of manpower and personnel processes and procedures.
  • Possessing organizational thinking with the ability to independently negotiate with all levels of the Joint Staff and unified commands
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
