Job Overview:
The Desktop Technician V is a senior-most technical and leadership role, providing expert-level support, managing teams, and driving IT initiatives across multiple BIA locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for desktop and end-user technologies
- Manage and initiate IT projects and modernization initiatives
- Supervise and mentor teams of 5+ technicians
- Develop enterprise-level documentation, workflows, and operational procedures
- Ensure adherence to federal IT security and compliance requirements
- Coordinate directly with FSMs, GTMs, and CORs
- Support high-impact incidents and enterprise escalations
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of IT support experience with leadership responsibilities
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft OS, Office, and enterprise applications
- Proven project and team management experience
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL certification
- federal IT experience
