SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge and understanding of the nature of the mission, objectives and functions of the agency to be able to understand how the office's various administrative services relate to one another and how they relate to the Agency's mission. Knowledge and ability to evaluate and apply applicable reference material to accomplish tasks and resolve complex problems/discrepancies is essential. Knowledge of inspection and survey techniques sufficient to conduct security and safety inspections for compliance with requirements, identify security/safety violations and make recommendations for corrective actions.

EDUCATION: Major study -- public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL. B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit copies of your college transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Less than the full amount of specialized experience described in the job opportunity announcement; however, have at least one year of progressively higher-level graduate education but have not obtained a master's or equivalent graduate degree. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of extensive rules, procedures, or operations applied to clerical assignments to perform the procedural and administrative work of the office, such as making and preparing travel arrangements, locating, assembling and composing information for various reports, performing small purchase acquisitions with a government credit card, maintaining inventory of office supplies, etc.
2. Knowledge of personnel security concepts, principles, and practices.
3. Knowledge of basic safety standards, methods, practices, and techniques to identify hazardous conditions and ensure the Agency is in compliance with safety and occupational health regulations.
4. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines. Ability to drive safely and use good judgment in severe weather conditions, heavy traffic, and on military installations.

- Plans, coordinates, and performs as the Support Services Specialist responsible for planning and coordinating a variety of service functions that are essential to the orderly and efficient accomplishment of the work of the Air Force Review Boards Agency (AFRBA). Responsible for daily pick-up and deliveries of USPS, FedEx and UPS mail and packages, sensitive cases and documents to and from the Pentagon and other government facilities located in the NCR.
- As the AFRBA Personnel Security Manager, establishes local procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military and civilian personnel. Initiates and reviews all requests for personnel security investigations consistent with directives.
- Serves as Driver and Courier for the AFRBA, operating motor passenger vehicles such as vans and sedans. Picks up and delivers extremely important "privacy act" cases and memoranda throughout the National Capital Region (NCR).
- Plans, coordinates, and performs as the Facilities Services Specialist. Responsible for agency space utilization. Works with SAF/AA to ensure sufficient appropriate space is allocated for agency operations.
