Data Analyst - Visualization

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst - Visualization to join our DTO team located in Washington, DC. This role supports data enablement, analytics, and visualization efforts that inform decision-making across operational, readiness, and resource-focused mission areas. This position offers the opportunity for hybrid work, with in-person collaboration up to three days per week as mission needs require.

Responsibilities

• Support agile software development efforts focused on analytics, dashboarding, and data-driven decision-making.
• Engage with users and stakeholders to gather requirements, estimate work effort, and translate functional needs into clear technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain dashboards and analytic products using modern visualization tools.
• Utilize Python and SQL to perform data queries, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics within Databricks environments.
• Develop and maintain data models integrating multiple data sources to support efficient reporting and visualization.
• Collaborate across functional and technical teams to implement scalable, mission-aligned data solutions.
• Support technical reviews and briefings with government stakeholders, including senior leaders, as needed.
• Contribute to analytics efforts supporting areas such as platform readiness, resource allocation, infrastructure planning, budgeting, and quality-of-service initiatives.

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. Hybrid schedules may be supported based on mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholders, and working with government systems or programs.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using SQL and Python, with demonstrated ability to write, interpret, and optimize queries and scripts.
• Familiarity with data engineering and data architecture concepts, including ETL processes and data model development.
• Experience developing analytics or dashboards that support leadership decision-making.
• Experience supporting technical reviews or working directly with clients and government stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience with Databricks, Trifacta, or similar data preparation and analytics platforms is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing or presentation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Attention to detail, effective time management, and reliable follow-through.

Security Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• The incumbent will be subject to a background investigation.
