Clearwaters.IT is currently seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our team. As a Junior Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of network systems and architectures
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues
- Configure and maintain network equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Manage network security by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth network operations
- Coordinate among Ports, Protocol and Service Management (PPSM), Firewall, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) teams to provide end-to-end connectivity support for troubleshooting, implementation or migration activities pertaining to Datacenter to Desktop configuration.
- Provide daily report on activity changes. Escalate issues for awareness and/or assistance when issues are not resolved within 24 hours. Support the clean-up and close-out process. Develop a close-out report that captures the network configuration for the D2D components installed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field (work experience may be substituted for degree)
- 1 year of experience in network administration or related role
- Secret Clearance
- CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
