Primary Function

This is a Part-Time Position

Senior Pilot, Aviation Project Manager with demonstrated experience in project management Responsible for the planning, execution, risk management, and reporting for Flight Activities for King Air 300 Series and other fixed-wing aviation platforms. This role requires flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules and requires CONUS and OCONUS travel. Also provide input for maintenance requirements and safety considerations for daily aviation operations of program assets. This position will be based out of Huntsville, AL and will report directly to the Yulista Solution LLC Principal Systems Engineer. Primary support will be for integration efforts for US Army PIF and other USG Aviation Weapons Platform Program Offices.

Essential Duties

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven experience executing project management tasks while also overseeing flight and flight related activities associated with aviation weapons platform integration efforts on fixed wing platforms for PIF and USG customers IAW the applicable Statements of Work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain highest level of skill, proficiency and knowledge to support aviation requirements for both CONUS and OCONUS flight requirements.
  • Maintain all required currencies in assigned aircraft including night and instrument currency/proficiency
  • Ensure each flight is completed efficiently, safely and productively; provide input on crew scheduling, crew rest, and flight risk management topics to ensure flights are conducted with minimal risk levels
  • Oversee flight and flight related activities required in accordance with statement of work.
  • Assist in the development of the Preservation and Storage maintenance plan.
  • Assist Mx team with the scheduling and coordination of special inspections and inductions.
  • Provide input to ensure Technical Directives, Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Maintenance manuals are current and up to date.
  • Supports team leadership in accomplishing their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of flights and flight related activities.
  • Comply with all Yulista and DoD aircraft procedural requirements.
  • Comply with safety and occupational health standards, rules, regulations and policies.
  • Identify hazards & report unsafe acts and procedures.
  • Support investigation and resolution of anomalies and mishaps as assigned.
  • Participate in safety inspections and training.
  • Must be able to fly under Day, Night and IMC flight conditions
  • Responsible for such operations as ferrying the aircraft from home station to required test sites.
  • Pilot may be required to perform CONUS and OCONUS ferry flight activities
  • Acts as advisor to program team regarding flight related projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Report progress to the Chief Pilot, Director of Aviation Operations, or Sr. Project Manager
  • Provide input and review monthly maintenance plans and 3M monthly summary reports.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must have proven strong knowledge of aircraft systems integration requirements, project management, commercial aircrew requirements and multi-engine aircraft operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members
  • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up
  • Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to both project and leadership team members.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task

Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to and available to receive training for successful transition to the B360ER platform
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to obtain working knowledge of AR 95-1 and DCMA 8210
  • Must possess at least a FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate/Multi-Engine ratings
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Must hold or have the ability to obtain a valid, current FAA or military Class II Medical Certificate
  • Must have not less than 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance

Working Environment

A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Extended hours working in a hangar in/around aviation weapons platforms, hours working outdoors performing flight line activities, and daily hours in an office environment can be expected.
