The Computer Network Defense Administrator will provide technical and operational support to protect systems under the responsibility of the Regional Cyber Center - Europe (RCC-E) against unauthorized access and inadvertent damage or modification. Additionally, they will develop and support all aspects of the RCC-E automated information security to include accreditations and establishment of local security policies. The Computer Network Defense Administrator will deploy, install, operate, monitor, sustain, and secure vulnerability and assessment systems and services.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

• Test and evaluate tools and techniques to facilitate recognition of potential security problems, and conduct evaluation of security events and provide findings to the Government.
• Investigate possible network and Automated Information System (AIS) security events.
• Ensure devices and assets under respective responsibility are configured, installed, and operated IAW current and applicable Secure Host Baseline (SHB) guidelines and applicable Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
• Ensure all vulnerabilities on RCC-E equipment are identified and propose remediation approach to customer.
• Report security violations as specified by customer.

Working Environment:

• Normal office environment
• May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.

Physical Activities:

• Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

Qualifications

Required Education / Certifications:

• Candidates must possess one of the following:
  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics plus three (3) years of specialized experience; OR
    • An Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
    • A major certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
    • 11 years of specialized experience.
  • OR, one of the following Certifications:
    • SecurityX / CASP+
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security (CCNP Security)
    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
    • GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
    • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
    • GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD)
    • GIAC Defensible Security Architect (GDSA)
    • GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT)
• Additionally , c andidates must also possess at least one of the following certifications:
  • Network Firewall and/or Integrated Detection / Prevention Systems Certification
  • F5-CA
  • F5-CTS
  • F5-CSE
  • Blue Coat Certified Proxy Administrator (BCCPA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (Any)
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (Any)
  • Cisco CyberOps Professional

Required Experience:

• The following experience may be concurrent:
  • Four (4) years of experience using and maintaining Network Firewalls, WEB Proxy, and/or IDS/IPS devices;
  • Two (2) years of experience with any enterprise network routing / switching device (manufacturer non-specific);
  • Two (2) years of direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
• DCWF Proficiency Level: Advanced - IT (Network Operations Specialist) (441).

Clearance Requirement:

• This position requires an active Secret SSBI (Tier 5 Investigation) Security Clearance.
