Network Administration Support personnel for the Regional Cyber Center - Europe (RCC-E) are required to be knowledgeable in multiple disciplines of enterprise networking. They must ensure stability and provide daily support of a geographically-dispersed Wide Area Network (WAN) Infrastructure and are responsible for design, troubleshooting, optimization, administration, change management, and technical documentation. Network Administration Support must have expert knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, VPN devices, VoIP technologies, security appliances, and routing protocols.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:
  • Individual will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and operations of VoIP phones, switches, wired and wireless routers, and encryption devices.
  • Monitor availability and reliability of LAN/WAN and Wireless Networks.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and HAIPE (Encryption devices).
  • Ensure outages and corrective actions are reported IAW customer and company policies.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise to internal subordinate, and site level NAs.
  • Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups as required.
  • Strong understanding of firewall, VoIP, and ACL configurations.
  • Use software application tools to manage and administer the network.
  • Provide oversight on designing, configuring and testing network development and expansion as needed.
  • Responsible for managing shift schedules, leave requests, and various other personnel administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of sub-netting, switching, routing and Cisco IOS.
  • Enforces network security procedures, to include DISA STIG compliance and best security practices.

  • Basic Office Equipment

Working Environment:
  • Normal office environment
  • May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.

Physical Activities:
  • Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

Qualifications

Required Education / Certifications:
  • Candidates must possess one of the following:
    • Education:
      • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics plus three (3) years of specialized experience; OR
      • An Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
      • A major certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience; OR
      • 11 years of specialized experience.
    • OR, one of the following Certifications:
      • SecurityX / CASP+
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
      • Cisco Certified Network Professional - Security (CCNP Security)
      • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
      • GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
      • GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
      • GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD)
      • GIAC Defensible Security Architect (GDSA)
      • GIAC Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT)
  • Additionally , c andidates must also possess at least one of the following certifications:
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (Any)
    • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS)

Required Experience:
  • The following experience may be concurrent:
    • Four (4) years of experience maintaining and developing TCP/IP networks (on Ethernet, ATM/SONET and/or wide area transports);
    • Three (3) years must be in direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
  • DCWF Proficiency Level: Advanced - IT (Network Operations Specialist) (441).

Clearance Requirement:
  • This position requires an active Secret (Tier 3) Security Clearance.
