Job Description:

The Security Support D position will be responsible for strictly managing physical access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), verifying clearances, escorting visitors, monitoring security systems (cameras, alarms), securing classified media before entry, and enforcing strict protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches. Responsibilities will include open/close operations of SCIF, issuing visitor badges and maintaining visitor logs, conducting random inspections of personnel and equipment, protection and operation of classified document control, and other duties as assigned. They will work under the direction of the CSSO/ACSSO and assist with daily program support, physical security, information security, and document and access control. They implement all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoDM 5105.21, 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other governing directives, as applicable and display the dedication and expectation of excellence required of a seasoned security professional. They work as a team player, exhibit flexibility, set priorities, and manage customer expectations in a sometimes fast-paced environment. They regularly interact with internal and external customers, as well as Government security officials in performance of security duties. They are responsible for supporting and enacting all L3Harris corporate policies, including the protection of L3Harris' intellectual property.

Essential Functions:

• Marking classified media and documents.
• Classified material destruction.
• Supporting resident personnel with implementation of security practices.
• Maintaining classified documents and media entering/exiting the controlled area.
• Managing document control inventories.
• Monitoring intrusion detection systems for alarms or anomalies.
• Verifying clearances for employees and contractors, as needed.
• Issuing and controlling badges for approved visitors.
• Inputting controlled media into automated logistics database.
• Managing media/document dispatch and receipt requirements.
• Conducting random inspections of personnel and equipment entering/exiting secure spaces.
• Ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, IC, DoDM 5105.21 vol 1-3, ICD 705, and other requirements.
• Assisting ACSSOs with daily operation of the SCIF(s).

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Candidates must have Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience working within a SCIF.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
• Must be able to interact with persons of varying importance, multi-cultural customers, and personnel.
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
