As the Engineering Project Manager for the Extensible Launching System (ExLS), you will lead the integration of engineering and program management across multiple international sites, ensuring the delivery of mission critical launch capabilities that protect our nation's defense assets. Your work will directly support the development of advanced missile launch systems for the Department of Defense and allied partners, enhancing global security.

THE WORK
The Extensible Launching System (ExLS) Engineering Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Engineering & Technology organization and Program Management for ExLS programs in the United States, Poland, Sweden and future sites. This role drives cost, schedule, and technical performance while safeguarding product integrity, and represents Lockheed Martin to customers worldwide.

In this role you will:
• Lead cross disciplinary engineering teams to define and execute ExLS product development, aligning hardware, software, and systems efforts.
• Coordinate program tasks and decompose them into actionable work packages for Product Development Teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Manage cost, schedule, and risk, applying earned value and cost estimating techniques to maintain program performance.
• Communicate status, issues, and technical decisions to Program Management, the Chief Engineer, and external customers, including international travel as needed.
• Ensure technical resource requirements are met, overseeing resource allocation and supporting Control Account Management for programs exceeding $5M.
• Drive implementation of One Lockheed Martin Transformation (1LMX) principles to continuously improve processes and product quality.

NOTE: International travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or a related technical field) with 7 years of relevant engineering experience, including experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead or similar role.
• Demonstrated competence in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of product development processes, including hardware, software and systems.
• Proficiency in earned value, schedule, cost, and risk management techniques.
• Experience as Control Account Manager on a program valued at over $5M.
• Experience with cost estimating / proposal development.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level.
Desired Skills:
• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management levels and customers.
• Strong understanding of one or more of the following:
o Military product development and customer experience including Department of Defense, Missile Defense Agency, US Navy, US Army and/or Marines
o Knowledge of Digital Transformation principles and ability to drive implementation of improvements.
o Knowledge of MK41 Vertical Launching Systems, Expeditionary Launching System, and Advanced Launcher Products.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
