The role involves ensuring the validation testing of high-fidelity modeling and simulation systems matches the Navy combat systems live fire performance data.
Job Duties:
- Performs analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques
- Performs analysis and trade-off studies related to operational issues, and reviewing test planning documents to ensure MOEs address operational requirements.
- Interfaces with Operational Test & Evaluation Force to ensure M&S will address System Effectiveness requirements.
- Ensure the Validation testing of a federation of high-fidelity models represents the Navy combat systems live fire performance data.
- Perform analysis using scientific test and analysis techniques, conduct trade-off studies related to operational issues, and review test plans to ensure they meet operational requirements
- Develop Test Objectives (TOs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), and Measures of Performance (MOPs)
- Collaborates with a team of M&S engineers to develop tailored TestBed solutions
- Coordinate with multiple Program and PAPM stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, or denostrated years of experience
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret clearance required
Experience:
- 5+ years of Navy experience in modeling and simulation
- In-depth knowledge of Navy combat systems and related M&S tools and methodologies is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in the design, integration, and implementation of M&S products, particularly with AEGIS or SSDS ship or shore-based systems
Technical Skills:
- Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OTF or COTF) background preferred
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Integrated Evaluation Framework (IEF)
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues within simulation models to meet end performance
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
