Torch Technologies is seeking an Information Assurance Engineer II at Eglin AFB, FL to support the 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron.

As an Information Assurance Engineer II your duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide advice in establishing security boundary.
  • Provide advice in describing the information system, its functions, and information types.
  • Review the adequacy of the security controls and their ability to protect the information system and its information.
  • Collaborate with the USAF Mission Planning Test enterprise in tailoring security control.
  • Collaborate with the USAF Mission Planning Test enterprise in determining the assurance measures that can be used to meet the minimum assurance requirements.
  • Ensure the selection of security controls is consistent with the enterprise architecture, including reference models and segment and solution architectures.
  • Collaborate with the USAF Mission Planning Test enterprise in developing an Assessment Plan for approval by the Security Control Assessor.
  • Perform technical analysis/assessment of the security controls in accordance with the assessment procedures defined in the security assessment plan.
  • Support the USAF Mission Planning Test enterprise in developing the security assessment report documenting the issues, findings, and recommendations from the control assessment.
  • Reassess remediated controls as appropriate.
  • Provide technical input for the development of the Risk Assessment Report for Authorizing Official/Risk Executive Function review.
  • Collaborate with the USAF Mission Planning Test enterprise in developing a security assessment plan for each subset of security controls that will be assessed.
  • Position may require 0-10% minimal travel upon the request of the customer.


Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate's degree
  • 6+ years of combined experience as both System Support Representative and an Information Assurance Engineer II in the Operational Testing of JMPS
  • Must have knowledge of Cybersecurity protocols to advise the 28th Test & Evaluation Squadron (28 TES) on current and emerging cyber threats that will affect the security of USAF, mission planning systems.
  • Meet the requirements for and maintain an IAT or IAM Level II certification by possessing at least one of the following:
    • CEH
    • CFR
    • Cloud+
    • GSEC
    • PenTest+
    • Security+
    • SSCP
  • Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a computer related discipline.
  • Prior System Support Representative with 28th TES/D0M Operational Testing experience.
  • Experience with Continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) and Certification to Field (CTF).
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in DevSecOps, preferably within the DoD.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, tools, and terminology.
  • Provide thorough analysis of open security findings across all technical stacks within the Mission Planning enterprise.
  • Demonstrated comprehension and experience with NIST 800-53 controls and the ability to provide remediation plans for all findings against control.
  • Ability to quickly analyze a security finding or assessment result and provide a remediation plan.
  • Coordinate with other security personnel within Test Enterprise in its efforts to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements.
