Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting an aero and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor processing, and coordinate escorts for non-cleared visitors, vendors, and deliveries as required by site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, communication with site contacts, and coordination with local emergency services when directed.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and patrol findings, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have a valid firearms permit preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
