Title: LAN-WIFI / Voice Network Engineer III - Motorola
Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: Up to $55.00/hr BOE

We are seeking a LAN-WIFI / Voice Network Engineer to support our client in Raleigh, NC. This is an on-site position, reporting to the office 4 days / week. This hybrid schedule could change in the future.
This position will serve as the main point of contact for support related to the Radio Management System and provide dedicated support full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and shall not exceed 8 hours per day.
Description:
Responsible for daily administration of a network/server environment. Installs, configures and maintains system software. Monitors network performance, troubleshoots more complex issues and deploys solutions. Plans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment. Creates and maintains a disaster recovery, security and back up and restore plan and policy. May conduct evaluation of new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance. Requires a bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Provide engineering and technical support to our customer with advisement and assistance with radio system programming utilizing the Radio Management software.
• Provision and re-provision of LMR (Land Mobile Radio) assets including programming of radios
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Motorola Land Mobile Radio products
• Deliver a Monthly Inventory Report to summarize current fleet of radio equipment to include:
o Device Type/model
o Current configuration/Codeplug
o Location of device (Plant site info)
o Name of location, address, FDBID
• Coordinate with LMR service provider and/or customer Project Management (PM) as applicable.
• Assist in the development of internal documentation pertaining to system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Help develop local agency/user surveys.
• Help ensure that installed LMR equipment is maintained with FCC and customer stipulated requirements.
• Train customers on usage of communication equipment.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors degree in an applicable field and minimum of 8 years experience.
• 3+ years experience in LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, or IT.
• Proven, strong background and experience with networking skills to include LAN and WIFI.
• Service Now or other ticketing systems
• Possess a detailed understanding of Motorola systems to assist in the design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Motorola's product lines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products.
• Must have excellent communications skills and always present a professional image.
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
• Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years
