Senior A&A Support Lead

We're currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst - Assessment & Authorization (A&A) to support our team in the Norfolk, VA area. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the full Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process using the DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Prepare clear, well-organized reports and briefings for leadership that explain risks, findings, and recommended solutions.
• Track and manage RMF and A&A documentation, ensuring systems remain compliant and audit ready.
• Assess information systems, networks, and platforms to identify security gaps or configuration issues.
• Validate and analyze security controls to confirm they're effectively reducing risk.
• Ensure systems align with applicable DoW cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks (including NIST and DoW guidance).
• Use eMASS to manage authorization packages, control assessments, and RMF artifacts.
• Review cybersecurity documentation and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
• Partner with incident response teams to help analyze security events and support remediation efforts.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing best practices and helping the team grow.
• Provide support during off-hours when mission needs require it (occasionally nights, weekends, or holidays).
This is a full-time onsite, salaried, exempt position.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of cybersecurity experience, including hands-on work with DoW RMF and Assessment & Authorization (A&A).
• Experience supporting the full A&A lifecycle for DoW information systems.
• Strong foundation in information technology security and system protection.
• Working knowledge of DoD RMF processes and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Meets DoD 8570.01M IAM Level III (or equivalent) certification requirements.
• Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Level II designation or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable working in eMASS to manage RMF documentation and authorization workflows.
• Familiarity with DoW cybersecurity policies and regulations (such as the 8500 and 5200 series) and how they apply in operational environments.
• Experience reviewing cybersecurity documents and offering clear, actionable feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief leadership and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Certifications:
At least one of the following certifications is required:
• CISSP
• CISM
This role may include travel to other DoW or contractor facilities in support of mission needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. Candidates must be eligible for a background investigation.
