Diesel Equipment Mechanic
This position will provide labor and diesel mechanic operations support to Missile Defense Agency for their diesel generators in NW Field, Andersen AFB, Guam.
***This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered. ***

Job Summary:
CNAS is seeking a General Diesel Mechanic to oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and minor repairs of generator sets at NW Field in Guam. The mechanic will ensure operational readiness of the diesel generators, with primary responsibility for maintaining and servicing and providing fluid monitoring for contractor-owned generators at the site. Additionally, the mechanic will be available to respond to generator emergencies outside core business hours to support continuous operations. Qualified candidates should possess expertise in diesel equipment maintenance, with commitment to operational readiness and emergency response support

Diesel Equipment Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor fuel levels, fuel consumption, and fluid levels (oil and coolant) for all generator sets.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the generator sets to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform fluid checks and verification on the generators to confirm adequacy for operational needs.
- Replace belts, filters, hoses, injectors, coolant, batteries, and oil as required to maintain generator functionality.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer recommendations and contractual maintenance requirements.
- Respond to generator emergencies beyond core business hours, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
- Coordinate with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators for fuel and fluid loading assistance.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, fuel logs, and service history for documentation and compliance reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in diesel generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and emergency response.
- Familiarity with fuel and fluid monitoring for diesel-powered equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in remote field locations.
- Willingness to work outside of core business hours in response to operational emergencies.
- Safety-conscious, with adherence to environmental and operational guidelines.
