Position Summary
Peraton is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of contractual agreements in support of program and corporate objectives. This role is responsible for drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and administering contracts to ensure legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and post-award administration, and works effectively with legal, procurement, finance, and program stakeholders.

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

This role is responsible for drafting, negotiating, reviewing, and administering contracts to ensure legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and post-award administration, and works effectively with legal, procurement, finance, and program stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle from pre-award through closeout.
- Prepare, draft, review, and finalize a variety of agreements, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Vendor and subcontractor agreements
- Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable terms while minimizing organizational risk.
- Ensure all agreements comply with internal policies and applicable external regulations, including UCC, FAR, and other relevant frameworks.
- Provide contract interpretation and guidance to program managers and leadership.
- Oversee post-award administration, including monitoring contractor performance and deliverables.
- Process contract modifications, amendments, and change orders.
- Support procurement and vendor management activities in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate formal contract closeout activities, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and documented.
Qualifications

- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D., 16 years in lieu of degree
- Significant experience in contract administration, procurement, or related contracting roles.
- Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FAR, UCC, and commercial contracting standards.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
- Ability to identify contractual risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience supporting government or federal contracting environments.
- Familiarity with subcontract management.
- Experience working closely with legal and finance teams on contract compliance and risk.
- Proficiency with contract management systems or CLM tools.
