Position Summary
Horizon Global Partners is seeking a highly qualified Global Logistics Specialist to support overseas (OCONUS) operations. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing international logistics and supply chain operations supporting program and mission requirements.
The Global Logistics Specialist ensures the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and supplies across international borders while maintaining strict accountability of government and company assets. The position requires close coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support overseas operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage end-to-end international logistics operations supporting OCONUS programs.
Maintain accurate inventory accountability and asset tracking in accordance with company and government requirements.
Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations, and customs documentation.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, transportation vendors, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipment movement and clearance.
Ensure compliance with U.S. export control regulations, international trade laws, and host-nation import/export requirements.
Monitor logistics performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
Support demand planning and forecasting efforts in coordination with program and operational teams.
Troubleshoot shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, and supply chain disruptions.
Utilize logistics management systems, inventory tracking tools, and reporting platforms.
Maintain records and documentation to support audits, compliance reviews, and security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting international logistics or supply chain operations.
Working knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export compliance.
Experience with inventory management and asset accountability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Strong computer and logistics systems proficiency.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Ability and willingness to deploy and reside OCONUS for extended periods.
Must meet deployment medical and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS, CLTD, CPIM, or equivalent supply chain certification.
Experience supporting U.S. Government, Department of Defense, or contingency operations.
Experience operating in austere or remote overseas environments.
Experience with ERP, property management, or freight tracking systems.
Multilingual capabilities supporting host-nation coordination.
