Position Summary

The Mid-Level Offensive Cyber Operator supports authorized U.S. Government cyber operations by conducting exploitation activities against adversary networks, systems, and applications. This role performs mission execution tasks under senior technical leadership while contributing to vulnerability research, tool development, and operational planning in highly classified NSA environments.



Key Responsibilities

• Conduct authorized offensive cyber operations in support of mission objectives
• Perform vulnerability identification and exploitation activities
• Execute reconnaissance, target development, and access operations
• Utilize and modify offensive cyber tools and frameworks
• Support mission planning and operational execution
• Analyze adversary systems and network architectures to enable exploitation
• Assist with development and refinement of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
• Produce technical and operational reports and documentation
• Maintain strict operational security (OPSEC) and compliance with authorities
• Collaborate with intelligence analysts and senior cyber operators
• Support automation and scripting for cyber operations
• Stay current on emerging exploitation techniques and tools



Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• 3–7 years of experience supporting offensive cyber, red team, or penetration testing missions
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability exploitation and offensive tools
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and application security
• Experience with scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
• Knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a high-tempo, mission-focused classified environment



Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting NSA or Intelligence Community (IC) cyber missions
• Experience with exploit development or reverse engineering
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, GPEN, CEH, or equivalent)
• Experience supporting classified offensive cyber operations
• Knowledge of malware analysis or payload development
