As a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Manpower Requirements & Programming Branch ensuring that manpower requirements determination, CPI, resource management studies and reviews, and military and civilian man power programming issues comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- Select or recommend selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. Develop, modify, and/or interpret performance standards.
- Represent the Manpower Requirements & Programming Branch with a variety of command and functional area organizations.
- Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with military and civilian of high-ranking levels within and outside of the Command, to include OSD, the Joint Staff, Military Services, Combatant Commands, Transportation Component Commands, subordinate commands, and command's directorates and Command Staff Group offices.
- Prepare and deliver oral presentations such as briefings, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changed in assigned programs(s).
- Make authoritative interpretations of governing high-echelon manpower and organization management policy, and make recommendations for command-specific applications, including defining management implementation of techniques and Standard Operating Procedures.
