Advanced Writing Instructor

The Advanced Writing Instructor provides individualized, workshop-based, and classroom instruction to graduate-level students through the Graduate Writing Center (GWC). This role supports students’ development in academic writing, research, critical thinking, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate is capable, motivated and willing to learn and grow as the position evolves. In this exciting opportunity as a Advanced Writing Instructor your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities – Instruction and Student Support

• Conduct one-to-one writing consultations

• Review student drafts

• Provide synchronous and asynchronous support

• Develop consultation strategies

• Complete client reports

Key Responsibilities – Course Development

• Develop and teach graduate-level courses

• Collaborate with faculty

• Deliver foundational presentations

Key Responsibilities – Workshops and Research

• Design and deliver workshops

• Edit faculty and institutional materials

• Conduct writing-related research

• Maintain online resources
