QSSHire is partnering with a secure customer to identify a Junior Full Stack Developer to support mission-critical functions through modern software development.
This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on developer who can contribute across the full stack, supporting front-end user interfaces, backend application services, RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-native deployments in a secure Agile environment. You’ll join a collaborative team working closely with a Lead Engineer and fellow team members to support the continued development and sustainment of web applications, delivering enhancements, integration support, testing, and deployment assistance.
In This Role, You’ll:
• Work with the Lead Engineer and team members to design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Contribute to full stack development across:
o Frontend end-user interfaces
o Backend application services
o Data layers
• Translate functional requirements into technical implementations.
• Develop, consume, and integrate with RESTful APIs.
• Support integrations with other software systems and databases.
• Participate in code reviews and help enforce development best practices.
• Assist with testing and deployment activities and help maintain deployed applications.
• Support development efforts aligned with Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Contribute to writing and maintaining automated tests.
You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) (required)
• Experience with front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience developing backend services and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining systems on cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum team environment.
• Experience building and maintaining web applications using:
o React with TypeScript (or comparable frameworks such as Vue or Angular)
o Python (or another modern backend language) for backend services and RESTful API development
o SQL and/or NoSQL databases
o AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3
o CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
o Automated testing practices
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Hands-on experience supporting CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance
• Experience supporting 508 compliance/accessibility testing
• Familiarity with deployment/sustainment support in secure production environments
