Please note this position supports our Weekend Night Shift working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00PM to 6:00AM. You will work 36 Hours and be paid for 40 Hours plus earn a 15% pay premium.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Full time on-site eighth shift Fri-Sunday 6:00PM-6:00AM.

Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We are seeking a Weekend Nights Value Stream Specialist (VSS) at our Nashua, New Hampshire facility. The VSS position is an exciting, dynamic and fast paced role to lead and achieve operational excellence through production execution activities within a team-based manufacturing environment.

The responsibilities may include:

1. Coordinates value stream manufacturing execution and engages with factory employees as well as cross-functional team members to ensure production builds are aligned with program milestones and customer delivery schedules.

2. Provides people management leadership to the manufacturing personnel by coaching and developing direct reports. Assures the manufacturing team members have the necessary training and the training matrices are updated. Fully participates in the performance development process. Identifies and resolves performance problems. Provides guidance on labor charging and company policies and procedures.

3. Develops staffing plans, undertakes hiring actions to build and grow the touch team across all shifts.

4. Achieves operational excellence and operation KPI targets including year-over-year reduction in cycle time & lead time, defect and rework reductions, and champion continuous improvements to streamline WIP management, factory layout, value stream mapping.

5. Serves as the focal point to communicate and resolve issues within their value stream and between other factories. Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary to ensure commitments are achieved. Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.

6. Timely reports on the WIP status and proactively engages with cross-functional team members to address production bottlenecks and drive solutions to meet customer commitments.

7. Leads Gemba and production stand up meetings, and presents status of production programs in cross-functional team meetings.

8. Identifies errors and initiates corrective action and monitors the quality date to ensure the effectiveness of the corrective action. Supports corrective action reviews and participates in identifying root causes and corrective actions within the value stream.

9. Ensures compliance with all safety and health regulations stated by internal company policy and Federal, State, and Local applicable standards.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ability to obtain an active Secret Level U.S. Security clearance
  • Manufacturing and production execution experience
  • Experience in people management or mentoring


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Holds Secret Level security clearance
  • Prior manufacturing leadership experience to independently manage a mixed model production environment including assembly, integration and testing
  • Experience in US defense industry manufacturing operations is highly desirable for this position
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing change in manufacturing areas
  • Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
