The salary range for this role is:
$107,370 - $152,250

T his position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Position Summary

Core Responsibilities
- System Operations & Maintenance
- Administer, configure, and maintain JCATS and associated simulation platforms on Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments
- Deploy and track updates, patches, and IAVAs to ensure system integrity and performance
- Monitor server and network performance; respond to faults, conduct troubleshooting and restoration
- Infrastructure & Networking
- Integrate cross-platform simulation environments (e.g. JCATS, VBS3, LOTS) ensuring consistency across federated systems
- Implement STIGs, RMF/DIACAP frameworks, ACAS scans, and POA&M documentation
- Database & Terrain Management
- Build and manage JCATS terrain and scenario databases
- Ensure accuracy of force data, overlays, and scenario modeling
- User Support & Collaboration
- Author and update SOPs, configuration guides, AAR input, and system documentation
- Coordinate with operators and cross-functional teams to validate system readiness and incorporate feedback
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education & Clearance
- Bachelor's degree (CS, Engineering) or equivalent; ≥ 5 years administering JCATS or similar systems
- U.S. citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance
- Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret
Travel: Up to 20%, including overseas and austere environments
- Technical Skills
- Expert-level Linux (RHEL)
- Terrain and scenario building for battlefield simulations
- Professional Skills
- Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in high-pressure environments
- Skilled in technical writing and maintaining SOPs
- Strong organization, multitasking, and time-management
- Excellent communicator and collaborative mindset
- Experience managing classified systems and sensitive data
- Certifications (Preferable)
- CompTIA Security+ or higher
