Epsilon C5I (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), focused on software development and systems engineering for intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our team in designing and developing secure, mission-critical software solutions for high-assurance environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, API development, and publish/subscribe architectures, along with a proven ability to deliver software in IL6 and IL7 environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Implement publish/subscribe messaging architectures using technologies such as ActiveMQ or Kafka.
• Develop software solutions for classified environments (IL6 and IL7).
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, including familiarity with RMF and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and integration activities.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $120,000 To $160,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Related Discipline
- Four to Eight (4-8) years of Software Engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java and API design/development.
- Experience with publish/subscribe architectures (ActiveMQ, Kafka, or similar).
- Hands-on experience developing software for IL6 and IL7 environments.
- Security+ certification.
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
- Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience securing software to meet cybersecurity requirements.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $120,000 To $160,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. - Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy
- Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding)
