Omitron is seeking a Lessons Learned Analyst to support the NRO Operations Center (NOC) through enterprise-level space and operational exercises at our Springfield, VA, location. This position facilitates real-time exercise execution, ensures alignment with Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes, and supports senior leadership awareness through high-quality briefings and reporting. The selected candidate will work closely with controllers, evaluators, and role players to ensure exercise objectives are achieved, and lessons learned are properly captured and communicated. This role directly supports government customers engaged in mission planning, operational readiness, and enterprise integration efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Work full-time at a customer site.
- Maintain a centralized Lessons Learned repository using the DoD Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) for organization-wide access and visibility.
- Input, tag, and categorize lessons to support future planning, training, and operational development.
- Collect observations and after-action data from participants, evaluators, and observers through hot washes, surveys, and debriefs.
- Draft and contribute to After-Action Reports (AARs) documenting findings, gaps, and actionable recommendations, linking observations to mission objectives or core capabilities.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Serve as the main point of contact (POC) bridging the gap between exercise results and real-world operations.
- Coordinate with Plans, Training, Mission Protection, and other NOC elements to ensure lessons learned are translated into operational next steps.
- Focus on actionable, measurable follow-up actions that help the NOC deliver on mission and operational requirements
- Support planning meetings, including Initial Planning Conferences (IPC), Mid-Term Planning Conferences (MPC), and Final Planning Conferences (FPC).
- Facilitate exercise execution by overseeing real-time conduct, ensuring injects are delivered accurately, and objectives are met.
- Provide support to controllers, evaluators, and role players during execution.
- Participate in enterprise-level exercise planning and execution, with occasional travel as required.
- Generate, share, and present briefings, reports, and data products for senior leadership and enterprise awareness.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional senior-level briefings summarizing exercise outcomes, findings, and recommendations.
- Contribute to working groups and coordination boards as needed to support mission alignment.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR
- Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience; OR
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of exercise planning or related operational planning experience
- Proficiency with the DoD Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS)
- Familiarity with Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes
- Experience preparing and delivering senior-level briefings
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Certifications: None required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Relevant coursework in exercise design, joint planning, or operational planning
- Experience:
- Military or government experience supporting space operations or space mission planning
- Experience supporting enterprise-level or joint exercises
- Certifications:
- Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) Training
- Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP) or JLLIS User Training
- DoD or DHS Exercise Design Course (HSEEP)
