We are actively hiring a Senior Level Farsi Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In this role, linguists will use native or near native reading and writing skills and cultural expertise.
- Linguists will translate and prepare reports
- As needed, linguists may be asked to travel for short-term TDYs to domestic and foreign locations to include warzones
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree desired
- Translation into English and target language
- Transcription into English and target language
- Interpretation
- Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
- Terminology Management
- Translation Related Services
- Blogging while drawing upon linguistic/cultural expertise
- Quality Control and Editing of language products
- Monitoring published, online and broadcast media to identify relevant content
- Writing Reports, Writing Analysis, Workflow Management
- Subject Matter Expertise in Counterterrorism, Geospatial, Military, Narcotics, Religion, Cyber and Economics areas of focus
