Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a Mission Assurance Analyst II to support the execution of mission assurance assessments aligned with the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) and relevant EXORDs, contributing to the identification and mitigation of risks to critical assets and operations. This entry-to-mid-level role assists in terrain mapping, threat correlation, and drafting recommendations to enhance mission resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide situational awareness and mission analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Conduct mission mapping and mission decomposition across operational environments.
  • Execute MADSS-aligned mission assurance assessments, including cyberspace terrain mapping, data capture, and iterative risk assessments.
  • Analyze Operational Technology (OT) environments, including Facility-Related Controls and Manufacturing Systems.
  • Assist in identifying Task Critical Assets (TCAs) and Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) and assessing their mission impact.
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive environment discovery process, including:
    • On-site assessments and facility walkthrough
    • Use of approved discovery and assessment tools
  • Assist in updating and maintaining Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) in compliance with EXORD 133-24 (Cyber Terrain Mapping) and EXORD 8600-26 (Mission Assurance Implementation).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Knowledge Management Plan.
  • Support data analysis across functional areas
  • Draft risk mitigation recommendations and contribute to POA&M documentation.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and intelligence teams to support mission assurance objectives.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving threats and integrate findings into mission assurance documentation.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Intelligence Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in mission assurance, cybersecurity, or risk management roles
    • Must have experience with analytical and cybersecurity skills, and a deep understanding of mission assurance (MA) methodologies, cyber defense, and U.S. military operations
    • Must have experience with cybersecurity standards specific to OT/ICS (e.g., NIST 800-82, IEC 62443)
    • Certifications like CISSP, Security+, CISM, and CEH are preferred
  • Must have active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with MADSS, EXORD 133-24, and EXORD 8600-26.
  • Working knowledge of RMF, POA&M processes, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Ability to standardize data capture and metadata tagging; implement secure dashboards that visualize TCA/DCI posture, RMF status, vulnerabilities, and segmentation coverage.
  • Basic understanding of MRT-C mapping, critical asset identification, and mission dependency analysis.
  • Knowledge of system boundaries and data flows.
  • Ability to support terrain mapping and correlate threats with mission-critical systems.
  • Skilled in drafting recommendations and supporting risk mitigation planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and under senior analyst guidance.
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
