Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared SATCOM Specialist (NE) - Senior to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
As a SATCOM Specialist (NE) - Senior, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
- Serves as a lead technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network infrastructures for C2ISR SATCOM Transport Systems, ensuring high resilience and performance.
- Leads the architectural design and deployment of highly scalable and secure SATCOM network segments, incorporating advanced routing protocols, multi-domain network segmentation, and secure data paths for C2ISR mission data.
- Oversees the integration of diverse SATCOM technologies (e.g., GEO, MEO, LEO, commercial/military SATCOM) into a unified C2ISR communication infrastructure, defining interoperability standards and network interfaces.
- Conducts expert-level network engineering analysis for SATCOM systems, focusing on throughput optimization, latency reduction, and resilience against environmental or adversarial effects (e.g., rain fade, jamming) using advanced simulation and modeling tools.
- Develops advanced network engineering solutions to address complex SATCOM communication challenges, such as implementing Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles for dynamic bandwidth allocation or designing secure cross-domain solutions over SATCOM.
- Drives the maintenance and modernization strategies for SATCOM assets and ground-based gateways, including evaluating new modem technologies, waveform enhancements, and network management systems.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple high-impact SATCOM network engineering assignments, guiding junior and journeyman specialists, and contributing to the strategic expansion and optimization of global C2ISR SATCOM infrastructure.
- Utilize the following Role Tools: Network engineering platforms (SolarWinds, NetScout, Cisco DNA Center Elastic Stack, ACAS); SATCOM monitoring and acquisition tools (Satellite Acquisition Manager, L3 Harris SRVT monitoring, ViaSat hub portals); Protocol optimization and interoperability testing platforms (BGP/MBGP/MSDP/BFD routing simulators, IPv6 multicast testbeds); Latency measurement and QoS optimization tools (p95/p99 latency trackers, edge computing performance monitors); Cloud orchestration and sustainment tools (Azure Arc, AWS Console, milCloud 2.0, Grizzly Cloud 2.0,); IL5 Landing Zone, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, virtualization with VMware/Hyper V); Cross domain solution monitoring (Everfox High Speed Guard dashboards, CDS compliance trackers); End to end visibility dashboards (AI assisted anomaly detection, service dependency mapping, mission impact scoring); Engineering deployment kits (Tactical Relay Kits, RGEP/IGEP installation toolsets); COOP readiness systems (VPN token management, alternate site readiness trackers, SOP/QRC libraries; Model repositories (Cameo, Sparx, System Architect, Jira, wiki); Network diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart); Service Desk and Change ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); and Configuration management tools (Git or SVN Ansible, Terraform, CMDBElastic Stack, ACAS
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SATCOM Specialist (NE) or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with a BS/BA or 4 years' experience with an MS/MA or 2 years' experience with a PhD. or 10 years' w/o a degree or 8 years with AS/AA Degree
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship is required
- DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Intermediate / Ability to obtain
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience with a BS/BA or 6 years' experience with an MS/MA or 3 years' experience with a PhD. or 12 years' w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA Degree
- Location:Pope Army Airfield, NC
- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
