Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton is seeking an Application Architect Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will manage all activities related to the design and structure of the customer relationship management (CRM) application, which includes all tasks related to the definition of the overall system architecture. The Application Architect will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and effective technical solutions to include maintenance of current systems, enhancements, and major modernization efforts at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Application Architect Lead's responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
  • Understanding the existing CRM environment including integration of the source systems.
  • Defining the architectural strategy and development guidelines for a new modernized CRM.
  • Leading and managing all activities and tasks related to system design and structure.
  • Analyzing requirements and providing recommendations for changes to existing infrastructure, including justification, budget considerations, and required implementation resources.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Experience in CRM architecture, design, implementation, and administration.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex CRM projects from inception to completion, with a strong emphasis on customer-centric solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of CRM platforms such as Pega or similar enterprise-grade systems, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must reside close to Woodlawn, MD as this is a hybrid role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as Pega SSA or LSA certification.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Siebel.
  • Experience in healthcare IT and understanding of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
  • Experience with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) or Federal Healthcare Programs.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of CMS processes and standards.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
