We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued Customers as an Operations Planner, Craftsman (C2 Joint Effects) to work out of Schriever SFB, CO.

Job Summary: USfalcon are seeking an Operational C2 Plans Expert to support the Space Domain Phase of the Joint Advanced Fires Qualification Course. This position will be responsible for integrating military students training for assignment in a Combatant Command Joint Fires Element into 392d Combat Training Squadron's (392 CTS) United States Space Force (USSF) exercises at Schriever SFB, CO and exercises at Naval Air War Development Center (NAWDC) at Fallon NAS, NV. These exercises are designed to prepare Joint students to plan and execute joint fires in a realistic contested, degraded, and operationally limited (CDO) environment against a thinking and determined adversary. The Operations Planner - C2 Joint Effects works with the 392 CTS and NAWDC to incorporate JAFQC student objectives into existing Space and Maritime exercises to provide feedback to the training experience for JAFQC students. This position is located at Schriever SFB, CO, and requires on-site support.

Essential Duties:
  • Coordinates with USSF exercise planners, JAF-QC staff, subject matter experts, and support staff responsible for designing, planning, preparing, executing, and evaluating assigned 392 CTS-led USSF exercises.
  • Participates in planning conferences and working groups with applicable stakeholders to develop and provide realistic, comprehensive, mission-related exercise environments based on current and near-future (i.e., 12-18 months into the future) Red/Blue/Grey force threats and capabilities.
  • Integrates JAFQC practical exercise requirements into USSF and NAWDC exercises.
  • Coordinates manning support with units and applicable Field Commands for each USSF exercise.
  • Coordinates M&S support activities to de-conflict resources.
  • Provides exercise White Cell support and student feedback in coordination with JAFQC faculty.
  • Manages the timing, tempo, and execution of JAFQC exercises.
  • Supports evaluators in conducting hot wash debriefs and after-action report development after each JAFQC exercise.
  • Identifies gaps and shortfalls in M&S tools needed to provide realistic exercise environments.
  • Captures, analyzes, and reports observations and lessons learned identified during the design, planning, and execution of JAFQC exercises.
  • Attend JAFQC exercise-related meetings as requested by the JAFQC Course manager.
  • Prepares event-related documents (i.e., trip reports, exercise planning/execution products, after-action reports, lessons learned, meeting minutes) within established time frames.
  • Carry out tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure JAFQC mission success.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10-15+ years military DoD experience with emphasis on joint/operational planning.
  • 5-7 years planning large-scale DoD exercise events.
  • Previous experience in space and/or cyber operations
  • Previous formal instructor experience.
  • Experience within the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) applying project management processes to create and manage project plans, resulting in timely delivery of project milestones across interrelated efforts.
  • Experience using risk management concepts and strategies to ensure project success.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience planning and integrating special access programs (SAPs) as part of CCMD or Service Component staff.
  • Experience managing DoD or IC projects from initial design to completion.
  • Experience designing, planning, preparing, executing, and/or evaluating space capabilities in Service, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) or Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises

Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Additional years of experience can be used in lieu of education.

Required Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.

Travel: Travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations required. Estimated travel may be 25% of the period of performance.
