Position Overview
MicroHealth seeks a Clinical Safety Compliance Officer for our DHA NCR Network HQ Medical Affairs Clinical Quality Management Program. This strategic role combines healthcare operations analysis, process improvement, and organizational design to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency across military treatment facilities in the National Capital Region.
Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite) | Clearance: Secret Required
Responsibilities:
1. Healthcare Operations Transformation
Assess and catalog current healthcare operations across NCR military treatment facilities (MTFs)
Benchmark against best-in-class systems (private sector: Geisinger; international: NHS)
Design 2-3 organizational models with business cases for NCR leadership
Develop implementation roadmaps for recommended structures
2. Process Improvement & Business Analysis
Lead Lean Six Sigma-based process optimization initiatives
Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitated sessions to identify improvement opportunities
Create comprehensive business process maps and documentation
Perform clinical business case analyses and risk management assessments
Support policy development (SOPs, plans, orders)
3. Service Configuration Management
Partner with Medical Service Activity Leads (MSALs) on product line optimization
Define processes for service configuration changes (resources, business cases, stakeholder management)
Pilot configuration changes in 1-2 product lines with defined performance metrics
Develop playbooks for implementing service configuration changes
4. Command Center Development
Identify and prioritize functions for a central command center (bed management, transfers, staffing, OR utilization)
Establish 2-3 priority use cases with data-driven management mechanisms
Curate datasets, dashboards, and analytics models
Create process maps, playbooks, and comprehensive documentation
Provide analytics and change management training
5. Technology & Project Management
Track IT investments, programs, and projects throughout lifecycles
Document processes using Microsoft Visio for technical and business audiences
Manage change, conflict, and stakeholder coordination
Prepare and present findings to all management levels
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Active Secret Clearance
5+ years: Project management (schedules, tracking, status reporting, risk management)
3+ years: Technical task management and software lifecycle
Experience leading SDLC/Agile projects and COTS integration
Technical Competencies:
Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Agile development lifecycle tools and processes
Microsoft Project and Visio proficiency
Healthcare data analytics
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
