We're looking for a driven Federal Proposal Specialist to significantly contribute to the growth of Plus3 IT Systems. This role is a unique opportunity for someone in federal proposals who is eager to blend hands-on writing with critical coordination, playing a key part in securing new business for our cutting-edge cloud and AI solutions. While the position is primarily remote, candidates must reside within the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area to be able to commute to the office as needed.
What You’ll Do:
● Drive Proposal Success: Support and ultimately lead the full lifecycle of federal proposals, from initial opportunity tracking to final submission.
● Write & Strategize: Craft persuasive technical and strategic proposal content, translating complex solutions into clear, compelling, and compliant narratives.
● Coordinate & Collaborate: Act as the central point of contact for data calls, manage interactions with both Prime and Sub partners, and coordinate content from Subject Matter Experts and corporate teams.
● Ensure Quality: Provide writing guidance, perform meticulous copy editing, and lead review cycles to ensure every submission is flawless and compliant.
● Innovate & Grow: Contribute to the evolution of our proposal processes, including the use of AI, and build your expertise to independently manage key task order responses.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
● Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
● A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered
● 2+ years of Proposal Coordination or Specialist experience, preferably with Federal/Department of Defense (DoD) Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
● Thorough knowledge of AP Style
● Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts and processes into clear, concise, and compelling language
● Proven ability to work effectively within tight, unforgiving deadlines and manage multiple, simultaneous projects
● Stellar written and verbal communication skills (in person and virtual)
● Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
● A strong desire and willingness to expand the scope of your responsibilities in proposal
management and writing
● APMP Certification
● Knowledge of or experience with writing about Cloud Infrastructure, DevSecOps practices, and/or Software Development practices

Target Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary
is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
