Description:You will be the F-35 Avionics/Electrical Technician for the F-35 Avionics/Electrical Team which is responsible for maintaining and upgrading the aircraft's electrical and avionics systems. This position is located at Luke AFB, AZ.
What You Will Be Doing
As the F-35 Avionics/Electrical Technician you will be responsible for delivering precision service, repair, and overhaul of the F-35's electrical architecture while supporting heavy-maintenance and modification programs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft electrical systems, incorporating engineering changes and ensuring airworthiness.
- Analyze circuit interrelationships, trace signal flow, and operate high-frequency test instruments such as pulse generators and distortion analyzers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical orders to locate aircraft stations, butt-lines, and waterlines.
- Execute bonding and wiring tasks in confined or overhead spaces, adhering to safety and FOD-free standards.
- Support maintenance logistics, travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites, and provide technical guidance to peers.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an interim clearance to start and have the ability to obtain a Final Secret Clearance. Candidate must be willing and able to travel as this position requires Conus and Oconus travel.
Physical Requirements:
This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be experienced with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.
- Candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes
- Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
- Must have been previously awarded a 5 or 7 Skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS discipline rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power Plant, FAA certificate.
- Candidate must have experience with bonding of aircraft parts, assemblies and materials on complete and incomplete aircraft, where methods and operational sequences are not established.
- Must have experience with Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs.
Desired Skills:
- Experience Aircraft wire repair and routing.
- Depot/heavy maintenance experience
- Experience with fighter aircraft.
- 7 level or civilian equivalent in Avionics/Aircraft Electrician
