Leidos Health & Services has an opening for a Behavioral Health Leader position. This opportunity is remote with some travel for conferences and customer meetings. Preferred location DC, MD, VA
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavioral Health leader to join our team. This individual should have a strong background in behavioral health and federal policy with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with leaders and key stakeholders in the federal and commercial health, wellness, resilience and readiness space. The Behavioral Health LEADER will work with leadership and business development and capture and program teams to provide subject matter expertise and content to drive business growth and expansion, and lead strategy to action efforts within DOW, DHA, DOW P&R, VA as well as other federal civilian agencies (i.e., NIH, HHS, CDC, DHS, FAA, NASA and others).
The Behavioral Health Leader will leverage their industry knowledge and network to identify opportunities, lead strategic efforts, create deliverables and outputs/results, and drive revenue. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand the current customer base and achieve business targets.
This individual will play a key role in collaborating with both internal and external business, clinical and operational leaders to drive the delivery and integration of Leidos behavioral health initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and represent Leidos in the behavioral health space both within Leidos and with external customer sets. Drive the expansion of Leidos’ reputation as a leader in behavioral health.
- Contribute, develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive growth within the behavioral health and managed service capability space.
- Develop and drive innovation through technology and other areas in the behavioral health on existing Leidos programs and in capturing new opportunities.
- Work in alignment with Leidos executive leadership across the company and externally to develop and identify behavioral health new business initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including military and civilian government agencies, vendor partners and behavioral health community, non-profit organizations.
- Provide thought leadership in writing/publishing papers, journal articles, and in attending relevant conferences and participating in panels.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet the needs to bid and win new business.
- Act as a clinical advisor to Leidos teams in the execution of current Leidos behavioral health programs.
- Lead discussions with customers, ensuring favorable outcomes for Leidos.
- Monitor market trends, technology, opportunities to innovate and competitive activities, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy and to ensure Leidos is practicing the most relevant and innovative approaches to behavioral health to enhance the readiness and resilience of service members and their families and to enhance Veteran wellness.
- Participate and lead components of the Leidos strategy and business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal development and reviews.
- Serve as a customer advocate by helping to identify mission needs and represent the customer perspective.
Minimum qualifications and skills necessary to be successful:
- Masters degree with 15 – 20 years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 13 – 16 years of prior relevant experience in behavioral health field. Additional education, training or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong network of relationships within DOW, DHA, DOW P&R and VA. Relationships with civilian agencies and other Federal agencies are also desired.
- Proven track record of success in driving strategy, shaping, discovering and marketing opportunities to drive revenue growth and achieving business targets.
- Experience with breaking into new accounts / customers through effective tactics.
- Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts.
- Ability to understand customer challenges and help establish creative solutions to the customer needs.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing plans to achieve objectives.
- Proven results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value.
- Relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in federal and commercial behavioral health, wellness, readiness and resilience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the professional disciplines across the Behavioral Health space.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cutting-edge systems and tools that support behavioral health and readiness domains.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
- Prior experience of cross-area collaboration efforts.
- Proven experience of leading others in cross-functional disciplines.
- Experience and demonstrated competency in use of data analytics. Analytical skills are necessary to analyze and interpret complex data and to identify and solve problems.
