Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Policy Development and Implementation: Requires professional knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of business administration and public administration, with a good working knowledge of Navy shore and fleet operations.
2. Program Management: Requires experience with providing leadership, direction, management, productivity, and cost effectiveness of Region Operations programs, to include Airfield
Operations, Port Operations, Force Protection, Fire and Emergency Services, Safety, Operational Training and Exercises, Emergency Management, the Region Operations Center functions and programs.
3.Consult and coordinate:-Demonstrated experience of working with installation Commanding Officers, major claimants, region coordinators, and Fleet and Numbered staffs to coordinate region mission capabilities to meet operational and mission requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

- You will initiate new regional policy or modifications to existing policy for the varied operations programs.
- You will make decisions on problems involving policy and conflicting regulations.
- You will review policy directives from higher authority and evaluates them for changes required for regional operations.
- You will manage the business lines within the Operations Directorate to ensure effective resourcing, staffing and processes.
