Location: Austin, TX 78759 (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:
  • The ADG CCS Engineering team is seeking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products.
  • The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, R&D Engineering and Alliance Partners to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions.
  • The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design.

Experience and Skill Requirements :-

Minimum Requirements:
  • BS Degree: in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Design Role
  • Ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and process
  • Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e., Creo, SolidWorks
  • Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • History of generating Statements of Work and design documentation
  • Successful history of working with external suppliers

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiar with fixture and tool design
  • Familiar with thermal analysis and stress analysis
  • Knowledge of FMEA and RCCA methodologies
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ESD principles
  • Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e., grounding, shielding, cable design

  • Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently
