Job Description:
- The ADG CCS Engineering team is seeking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products.
- The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, R&D Engineering and Alliance Partners to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions.
- The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design.
Experience and Skill Requirements :-
Minimum Requirements:
- BS Degree: in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Design Role
- Ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
- Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and process
- Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e., Creo, SolidWorks
- Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- History of generating Statements of Work and design documentation
- Successful history of working with external suppliers
Preferred Skills:
- Familiar with fixture and tool design
- Familiar with thermal analysis and stress analysis
- Knowledge of FMEA and RCCA methodologies
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.)
- Knowledge of ESD principles
- Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e., grounding, shielding, cable design
