Job Description

The Supply Chain Planner (SCP) is the focal point for all supply chainactivities. The planner develops andimplements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacityissues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth andsustainment. The planner supports execution of programs and coordination of newprogram / product launches. SCP monitorskey performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinatescross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chaininitiatives.

The Supply Chain Planner optimizes how supply chain managementinterfaces with manufacturing systems. SCP will plan, prepare, issue andcontrol material requirements in conjunction with the production schedule. Planner will support risk managementactivities impacting the value chain working with cross-functional teams. The planner ensures that shipments areaccomplished to maintain contract/internal delivery commitments. SCP willutilize system and process tools to achieve program / functional goals.

As a principle planner, this position requires that the individualpossess a strong understanding of procurement and planning process steps; theindividual must be capable of troubleshooting process failures to ensuresuccess for the program. Candidate will be expected to train and mentorjunior level supply chain team members. This position relies on experience andjudgment to organize, plan, and accomplish department objectives with a widedegree of creativity, continuous improvement approach, and latitude expected tofulfill a variety of duties.

The Principle SCP will lead, develop, and implement supply chainstrategies for the program / product line. This candidate will network with management and team members across theenterprise to drive success.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience
  • Planning experience in a large multifaceted electronic manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations
  • Significant ERP System Experience (Oracle, SAP, Other), inclusive of shop floor control systems
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
  • Sales & Operations Experience / knowledge
  • Inventory / stockroom management
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to verbally and accurately report production status to program team or factory team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership team, production team, and customers
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to analyze, react, and train on exceptions in MRP, especially around Bills of Material, Material Planning, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and ECOs. The individual would be proactive to reduce exceptions and may influence system change requests to the MRP system. Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Higher level education completed or in process
  • APICS certified
  • Ability to implement Lean & Six Sigma improvements
  • Root Cause/Corrective Action Skills
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two or more of the following: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, and Rough Cut Capacity Planning or Production Planning


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $110617 - $188048

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
