Job Description

***Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph***

The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform the work listed. This role is responsible for promoting Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position serves as a Lead on assigned projects or performs moderately complex design assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies standard design techniques to a medium set of complex tasks.
• Efficiently produce facility electrical construction documents using AutoCAD. Documents include one-lines, motor-control, wiring diagrams, plan, fabrication, installation drawings, and panel & cable schedules. Develop drawing templates for the facility, and maintain CAD library.
• Apply Cost Competitive drawing production techniques to develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work
• Produce drawings that comply with Code, Standards, Specifications and design criteria
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, approval, and subcontracting
Basic Job Requirements :
• Assign work to teams, monitor and manage the work
• Perform, with minimal supervision, basic electrical equipment sizing calculations (e.g., cable, breaker, tray, and conduit). Solve moderately complex electrical construction system design problems
• Review electrical vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity per organization and project objectives and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials

• Practical field experience

• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

Other Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in technical society, Electrician or AutoCAD Certification
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
