Personnel Security Specialist

COLSA's Corporate Security team is seeking a qualified Personnel Security Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Huntsville, AL. This is a predominantly on-site position.

Provides industrial security support to ensure adherence of security procedures and requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

• Utilize DISS for visits (incoming and outgoing) including badge check-in and check-out procedures *
• Working knowledge of ACCS and the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) *
• Responsible for maintaining document control in accordance with security policies and procedures *
• May be responsible for maintenance of DD Form 254's.
• Maintains security files and/or files containing security sensitive information *
• Responsible for the duplication and/or destruction of security sensitive information *
• Assists with security portion of new hire orientation by conducting briefs on corporate security policies.
• May request, submit, and safeguard clearance applications for new employees.
• Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures. *

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 1 - 3 years of security administration experience in industrial security program.
• Working knowledge of DISS; SPOT; NISS; SWFT; SIM (or similar security database)
• Excellent written communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Must have an active/current Secret DoD security to clearance start & be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
