Seeking a full-time Airfield Management Shift Lead (AMSL) in support of Base Operations Services (BOS) and Mission Support Services (MSS) at Ascension Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). Your Impact

Airfield Management Shift Lead (AMSL) is responsible for all airfield operations functions and activities. Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance, personnel, and services at assigned airfield ensuring safety and quality to the customer. 
  • Coordinate withaircraftcrews, air traffic control and various base agencies thatprovide forsafe operation ofaircraftin the airfield environment and through national and international airspace 
  • Procure,maintainand produce information on safe operation ofaircraftthrough the national and international airspace system 
  • Provide Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), local airfield and navigational status, weather information and flight following services 
  • Direct,assistand provide aircrews with information and services toaccomplishoperationactivities relating to airfield management and flight planning 
  • Coordinate with other agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation and transientaircraftmaintenance 
  • Performs “Reception, Staging, Onward movement and Integration” (RSO&I) functions for transitingaircraftand crews 
  • Performs and supervises airfield management activities and oversees equipment and material within assignedareaof responsibility 
  • Plans and oversees the execution of anyadditionalservices requested by the customer (i.e.Airfield projects, UAS operations, FARP operations etc.)  
  • Assist the Airfield Commanders or Senior Airfield Authority (SAA) to the extent possible within the scope of theContract;
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Required Qualifications  
  • Must have computer skills and be able tooperatea variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak,readand write English fluently
  • Mustmaintaina valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
  • Mustmaintaina valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
  • Must be able to gain andmaintainauthorized entryontoUS military installations.
  • Must meet United States Department of Defense medical requirements necessary to live and work at Ascension Island

Additional Required Qualifications  
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, instructions, and directives pertaining to airfield planning and design criteria, aircraft operations, and airfield management 
  • Must be a USN with a SECRET security clearance
  • 3 years of experience executing Airfield Management Operations Supervisor (AMOS) and/or Shift Lead (AMSL) lead duties and responsibilities IAW 1C7 Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) and AFMAN 13-204 v1 & DAFMAN 13-204 v2, and already possess an USAF AMSL/AMOS certification (or have equivalent education and experience) executing Airfield Management duties that correlate to tasks in the Airfield Management Operations Coordinator (AMOC) and AMSL/AMOS Position Certification Guide (PCG).
  • The only current acceptable civilian equivalent is the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Airport Certified Employee (ACE). Personnel with prior U.S. Army, Navy, or Marine experience must provide training records and certificates from their respective branch detailing equivalency.Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures 
  • Knowledge of ICAO and/or United States federal and military air regulations, flight data and NOTAM systems preferred 
  • Familiar with navigational aids, basicaircraftdesign characteristics, fundamentals of meteorology, and principles of organization, purpose, operation, and management of airfield operational areas 
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, making appropriate judgments, and evaluating options concerning airfield operations and maintenance 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing 
  • Knowledge of US military operations and contracting support in a contingency environment 
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications  
  • Advanced organizational skills, computer literacy, anddemonstratedexpertiseofresearch methodologies 
  • Additionalknowledge/skill requirements may be required by assignment or contract 
  • Previousexperience with runway construction and repair preferred 
  • Prefer sound civilian/military management background displaying ability to staff, organize,leadand manage a diverse work force 
  • Assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions 
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
