The MITRE Intelligence Center is seeking an Intel Policy and Strategy Lead for the Influence and Integration Department within the National Intelligence Directorate, based at MITRE's McLean campus. This role supports Office of the Director of National Intelligence enterprise policy, governance, oversight, and mission integration priorities.
The Intel Policy and Strategy Lead is responsible for delivering high-impact support across the department's work program and aligning MITRE's efforts to strengthen ODNI's ability to develop coherent policy frameworks, accelerate capability adoption, and modernize intelligence community governance. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in technology forecasting, economic security, or strategic analysis, along with demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary teams. They will be comfortable engaging senior government leaders, shaping complex work programs, and operating effectively in a dynamic, matrixed environment. This role combines hands-on analytic and technical expertise with leadership of high-criticality efforts that have enterprise-level impact.
This position requires in-person execution in McLean, Virginia. The selected candidate will maintain a regular presence at MITRE and ODNI facilities and be available for short-notice travel as mission needs require. Travel may be frequent, flexible, or extended based on organizational and sponsor requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
In this role, the Intel Policy and Strategy Lead will lead and execute analytic, policy, and integration efforts supporting ODNI priorities across governance, oversight, and mission integration. Responsibilities include shaping and delivering complex work programs; translating strategic policy objectives into actionable analytic and operational outputs; coordinating across ODNI components, Intelligence Community partners, and MITRE organizations; and ensuring high-quality delivery that meets sponsor expectations. The Lead will mentor and guide staff, contribute to business development and capture activities, and help identify emerging policy, technology, and mission trends that inform future investments and strategic direction.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree
- Deep working knowledge of intelligence community mission needs related to technology, economic security, mission integration, or strategic analysis.
- Experience managing complex analytic programs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills with senior leaders and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizations and integrate efforts for enterprise outcomes.
- Active Top Secret SCI clearance with current CI Poly.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background applying advanced analytic methodologies, technology assessments, or economic risk frameworks to inform IC-wide priorities. Demonstrated ability to develop decision-support tools and strategic insights that strengthen ODNI's ability to anticipate and respond to emerging global challenges.
- Experience shaping enterprise-level analyses or foresight activities.
- Experience delivering innovative analytic methodologies or decision-support frameworks
- Advanced degree in international relations, national security, economics, technology policy, or related fields.
