Cyber FPGA Design Engineer

Dedham, MA

Pay Estimated: $71.88-$76.88/Hour

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, implement, and verify advanced FPGA designs, achieving design closure across area, power, and timing constraints
  • Integrate and close timing on designs incorporating:
    • Custom-developed logic
    • Commercial and custom IP
    • Embedded hard and soft processors
  • Support HW/SW integration, debug, and validation of FPGA designs
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to define and refine FPGA requirements
  • Design and support low- to high-volume production hardware
  • Contribute to secure product development across the full lifecycle, including release and sustainment


Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
    • OR Master's degree with reduced experience
  • Clearance
    • Active Secret Clearance (required)
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of FPGA or digital design experience
    • OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Technical Skills
    • FPGA development using Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar platforms
    • FPGA toolchains such as Vivado (or equivalent)
    • Hardware description languages:
    • VHDL (or equivalent HDL)
    • Experience integrating FPGA designs with embedded processors
    • Design experience supporting production hardware environments
  • Work Environment
    • Ability to support on-site collaboration and production activities as required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Delivering cutting-edge FPGA designs in secure or mission-critical environments
  • Timing closure on complex, multi-clock FPGA architectures
  • Experience supporting secure, cost-constrained products
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or government-regulated programs
