Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, verify, route, store, issue, and ship materials in accordance with prescribed company and customer procedures
- Read and interpret work orders, requisitions, part lists, specifications, and shipping/receiving documentation
- Document and maintain material transactions including requisitions, picking instructions, inventory records, and discrepancies
- Operate warehouse and material handling equipment including forklifts, tow motors, side loaders, overhead cranes, hoists, picker machinery, and company vehicles
- Utilize computer systems and inventory/warehouse management systems to track, order, and manage stock
- Perform inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report deterioration or damage
- Consolidate parts and assemble kits (parts kits, tooling kits, hazardous material kits)
- Prepare parts for storage and shipment, including fabrication of special shipping containers per specifications
- Stock, issue, and control a variety of materials including tooling, sealers, and hazardous materials
- Perform rough and non-angular cutting of materials (primarily tubing)
- Review production schedules to ensure availability of required materials and hardware
- Analyze material requirements, inventory levels, schedules, and configuration control to resolve complex issues impacting quality, cost, or delivery
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with safety, FOD, housekeeping, and tool control requirements
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, contractual, and government property regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program and business needs
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
- Experience
- 2-3 years of experience with stockroom, crib, or warehouse procedures
- 3+ years of experience using a computer-based Inventory Management System (IMS) or Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- 1+ year of experience managing Government Property, including acquisition, receiving, identification, movement, disposition, physical inventory, subcontractor control, records, and contract closeout
- Technical Skills
- Operation of warehouse and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, hoists, barcode scanners, banding and packing equipment)
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic mathematics for counting, inventory reconciliation, and material tracking
- Work Schedule & Other Requirements
- Ability to support rotating shifts
- Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications
- On-site role with physical warehouse and production floor exposure
- Ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs (team lift required for loads >50 lbs)
- Frequent standing, walking, overhead reaching, balancing, and operation of foot controls
- Occasional climbing (3-12 ft), crawling, squatting, bending/stooping, and extended head/neck rotation
- Frequent exposure to noise, elevated platforms, and contact with metals
- Use required personal protective equipment (face, eyes, ears, hands, arms)
- Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials
- Pass visual acuity and color perception testing
- Read, write, and comprehend English
