Logistician

The Logistician will be a reliable logistics and asst manager who will be responsible for the overall supply chain and inventory management for a government enterprise network environment supporting a secure DoD program supplying Information Technology support services. In this role, the Logistician will organize and monitor the inventory, storage, distribution of equipment, and manage shipping and receiving services, where necessary, while tracking and reporting the status of equipment in the logistics life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically plans and manages logistics, warehouse, and commercial and government shipping and receiving services for complete supply chain management.
• Directs, optimizes and coordinates full logistics life cycle
• Liaise and negotiates with commercial shippers, suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Keeps track of quality, quantity, spare levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arranges support for warehouse and storage areas, catalog equipment, plan routes and process shipments.
• Resolves any arising problems or complaints.
• Meets cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
• Maintains metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Complies with ITAR laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for implementing new or existing logistics policies and procedures.
• Performs quality control assessments.
• Supports the program management team with data capture of logistics metrics and issue resolution.
• Contributes to proposal creation by synthesizing logistics data and writing compelling prose under Proposal Management direction.
• Supports the continuing roll-out and support of the military logistics program
• Proficient in standard military logistics software
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

• Must have and maintain a Secret personnel clearance and must be eligible for a TS/SCI
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain)
• 5 years of related experience and skills required in Logistics/supply chain Management
• Progressive experience in Logistics and supply chain management and associated military logistics programs
• Five (5) years' logistics analysis experience, with ability to analyze information.
• Two (2) years' experience in a shipping and receiving
• Good written and verbal communication skills
