Our team, Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC)- Global team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
The Work
Work as a member of the Global Track Processing software development team to design, develop, test, and investigate innovative solutions contributing to the Missile Defense program. Non-standard work hours are possible during key events and a small amount of travel may be required. Critical to the mission is the Global Track Processing (GTP) team which strives to present accurate global situational awareness via raw sensor data to the warfighter.
Please Note:
-This position requires a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level prior to starting; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
-The role may involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.

Basic Qualifications:
• A final secret clearance is required for consideration
• Java development experience, writing production-ready, unit-testable code and creating the accompanying unit tests.
• Direct experience working in a Linux-based environment (preferably Red Hat, CentOS, or Oracle Linux).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and their appropriate application.
Desired Skills:
• Use of Eclipse, Matlab, Visio, & Enterprise Architect
• Software design using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
• Knowledge in BaSH (Bourne-Again Shell) or similar scripting
• Automated test-driven & continuous integration development
• Knowledge of linear algebra
• Experience with the Agile methodology

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
