We are experiencing growth and seeking an advanced RF Test Engineer to perform the role as range manager in support of the Air Dominance program located in Troy, Alabama.
What You Will Be Doing
The range manager will be be responsible for uptime of direct illumination and compact RF test ranges for antenna and sensor systems in a production test environment. They will also be responsible for serving as the main point of contact between production operations, development engineers and program management. The range manager will also be responsible for supplier/vendor interaction and management of periodic maintenance.
Essential tasks for this key role include:
- Managing multiple RF Test Ranges and leading the execution of antenna measurements and radar cross-section measurements
- RF requirements analysis and trade study execution
- Completion of Technical Data Package through preparation of Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Test Requirements, and Software Requirements
- Interfacing with subcontractors/vendors and reporting status of range activity and upgrades
- Managing the status of test maturation efforts
- Analysis of test data to include signal post-processing, visualization, and comparison with modeled data

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree with 8 or more years of experience
- Ability to create test documents such as plans, procedures and reports
- Experience in the creation of data analysis, reduction, and visualization tools using MATLAB or another programming language
- Experience defining or reviewing software requirements and software validation techniques
- Experience with lab test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, and Signal Generators
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start, therefore, you must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
-Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM degree with 8 or more years of experience (preferably 10+ years of experience).
- Advanced understanding of RF Test Ranges
- Advanced understanding of radar concepts
- Advanced understanding of electromagnetics and antenna concepts
- Advanced experience with test range control electronics and software
- Experience with Missile System Development
- Experience in systems development, integration and production test
- Experience in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and formal system development
- Development of system level test plans/procedures and associated reviews focused on data analysis and findings
- Experience with RF link budget analysis
- Active Security Clearance and previous SAP program experience
