This position is in support of the Chief Engineer's Office on the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. We are seeking a dynamic and independently motivated Mechanical Engineer who will act as the FBM Program CAD Lead. This position will support the sustainment of the D5LE Flight System as well as the design and development of the Trident II Life Extension 2 Flight System for the U.S. Navy. This technical position supports and collaborates with the FBM Chief Engineer to represent the program for all MCAD topics such as DSR standard requirements, interpretation and application, and defining Creo, Creo View, and EPDM best practices.
The successful individual:
• Provide guidance and interpretation of LM Space DSR command media to the Design, Checking, CM, Systems Engineering, Management etc. communities inside and outside of Reentry
• Provide Creo/EPDM troubleshooting help to the Design, Checking and CM communities
• Provide guidance to and define/develop processes for organizations to update legacy data sets to LM Space DSR standards
• Provide informal one-on-one and group training on Creo and EPDM
• Act as POC between Central Engineering Applications and program on all low and high side Creo and EPDM issues, installations
• Perform Creo/EPDM/EPDM Lite testing when requested by Central Engineering Applications
• Coordinate with FBM Chief Drafter and stakeholders to develop drawing formats and templates.
• Collaborate/consult with FBM Chief Drafter on LM Space standards

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience with design and modeling of complex missile or launch vehicle systems
• Proven experience in advanced CAD modeling practices utilizing PTC Creo or similar tool
• Experience with Model Based Engineering and Agile tools and methods
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in engaging with large teams and leadership
• Current Secret security clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Masters degree in Science or Engineering preferred
• Experience as a conceptual thinker with ability to proactively translate into action and results
• Experience in strategic nuclear missile systems
• Demonstrated customer orientation by learning and understanding customers' missions, needs, and perspectives
• Experience in working with the U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Program Office
• Experience in a development and test environment
• Current Top Secret security clearance

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
