Blu Omega is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics / AI Specialist to join our dynamic team and help drive mission-critical insights through advanced data analysis and artificial intelligence solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to develop innovative analytics products, deploy AI/ML models, and support strategic decision-making for our client, with a focus on real-world application within a secure environment. Your work will empower key operations, foster organizational modernization, and promote AI adoption across the enterprise.
Location: Los Angeles, CA (El Segundo) - In-office support required 5 days a week. Candidates must be local to the Los Angeles area; Orange County is considered too far.

Responsibilities:
- Lead analytical efforts by translating complex business needs into technical solutions, including data collection, refinement, and visualization.
- Develop and deploy advanced analytics products using tools such as R, Python, Tableau, and PowerBI.
- Apply AI/ML techniques to real-world challenges, including model development, MVP creation, and deployment.
- Design scalable AI architectures with ongoing quality monitoring, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, statistical assessments, and data wrangling to uncover actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities, assess technologies, and recommend innovative solutions aligned with mission objectives.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering technical growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives on AI and data analytics best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, visualization, and data science.
- Proven expertise in advanced data analytics, visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI), and business intelligence principles.
- Strong experience developing AI/ML models, with knowledge of frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
- Demonstrated ability to lead analytics projects from requirements gathering to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience working within Department of Defense (DoD) environments or similar highly secure settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Palantir platforms.
- Master's or advanced degree in relevant fields.
- Knowledge of DoD AI policies, ethical considerations, and security protocols.
- Experience managing end-to-end AI solution lifecycle.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
- Data engineering skills, including ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Willingness to adapt and learn emerging technologies continuously.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to support onsite work in Los Angeles, five days a week.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and adhering to security standards.
