Position Description:

• Provide expert guidance on cloud security architecture for BOP cloud deployments
• Review and validate FedRAMP authorization status for cloud service providers used by BOP
• Assess cloud security configurations against FedRAMP and DOJ security requirements
• Advise on cloud migration security strategies and hybrid architecture designs
• Evaluate cloud service provider security documentation and inheritance models
• Support authorization activities for cloud-hosted BOP systems
• Develop cloud security, architecture, documentation and reference designs
• Coordinate with CSPs on security control implementation and shared responsibility

Education: Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field REQUIRED.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or enterprise IT , 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including demonstrated GovCloud experience
• Expert knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep understanding of FedRAMP authorization process and requirements
• Experience with cloud security architecture patterns and best practices
• Knowledge of cloud-native security services (IAM, KMS, security groups, etc.)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
• Experience with containerization security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks and shared responsibility models
• Ability to evaluate and document control inheritance from cloud providers

Certification Requirement

• Cloud certifications preferred (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
